LIR "Edition Concorde" - December 2015

"For its inauguration the Latvian Institute Rome is pleased to present a set of finest ink drawings by artist Edgars Gluhovs.

Revisiting a motif from an earlier work called Haute Collaboration, these drawings are executed on ‘ancient’ sky-blue Concorde stationary with indigo ink - truly representing the anachronism we live in. Each of the seven in-flight drawings is accompanied by an envelope with the title Haute Collaboration. Edition Concorde printed on it, all neatly presented on an embossed museum-board with a custom frame."

Edgars Gluhovs, born in Riga, was educated at the Arts Institute at Bournemouth and the Staedelschule in Frankfurt. Gluhovs currently resides in Zürich and Berlin, having just left his position in Private Banking to fully dedicate himself to his artistic practice.
